Just had to let you know how much I have enjoyed the posting concerning The Fighting Cocks Farm. Brought back so much as I was at Owletts Hall Farm Lynn Lane and must have been at the Stonnal Youth Club at the same time... AND going to Lich. on the 'Arpers Aldridge Omnibus... and I well remember paying 4/9d for my first gallon of petrol at Hastilows. An absolute joy to read.

My gt. grandfather, Frank Turner and his wife, Rebecca, were teachers at the Stonnall school in 1891, they lived in the School House. Their neighbour was Stonnall Farm. Their daughter, Elsie was born here in 1892.Does anyone have any info or photos of them and/or the school?
